There were several big events in October. We took a family trip down to the Bay Area, just before Grandma Susan and Grandpa Hal moved up from California. Rachel learned how to skate. Kayla continues to read everything in sight, and enjoys doing "Mad Libs" - a sneaky way of learning grammar. Paul ran his fastest marathon so far in Portland, and visited family in the New York area. Kris is working out like a maniac, and settling in to life at home with the kids (that's a misnomer actually - they rarely stay home).
