It's hard to believe that 2005 is almost over.
We had a
beautiful and mild winter in the northwest, and have tried to enjoy
the sun, since there's very little snow to enjoy. The
2005-2006 winter promises to be more typical.
We've spent
time in Florida and the Midwest, visiting Grandma and Grandpa Solem.
We are really
enjoying having Grandma Susan and Grandpa Hal living up here.
They're settling in nicely up here, and have made some friends.
Grandma Susan had surgery on her back in May and has been recovering.
She and Grandpa Hal took a wonderful cruise around the Mediterranean
in September - look for those pictures here soon.
The girls have been busy with school, camp, and friends.
Kayla has taken to occasionally running a mile with Paul or Kris, and is
reading everything in sight (so we have to be careful now).
She participated in the "Girls on the Run" program, training for
a 5k held in December. She turned 8 in June!
Rachel is really smart and observant, so we have to be really
careful now. She has been learning her letters, has taken some
piano classes, and continues taking swimming lessons. She
turned 4 in November!
You can also check out some of my
entries for
the photo exhibition "God is at Eye Level", held at Northlake
Unitarian Universalist Church in September of 2005.
