The
Mt
Si Relay is a 57 mile, five person relay event held in the
Snoqualmie and North Bend area, east of Seattle. Each person
runs two legs, and some of the legs have some fairly challenging
hills. There are also 50 mile or 50K ultra events too.
The event is staged by the
Eastside
Runners, and the race director is the inimitable Willie Sato.
This year, we were blessed with beautiful weather, although it got
pretty toasty for those of us with later legs. It turned out
to be the warmest day of the year so far - reaching the mid 70s.
That's July weather here.
The pictures posted here were
taken by Phil Bloch and myself, using my camera. I've broken
the pictures down into three general categories : pictures of my
team, pictures of Eastside Runners, and miscellaneous shots taken on
the course. I have a bunch of others I've not yet posted, and
know that some more folks took pictures too. We're looking
into posting them to a photo-sharing site so people can view and
purchase pictures they like.
If you're a member of the
Eastside Runners club, and want to request the full-resolution
versions of these pictures,
send me mail and let me know which ones you'd like. I can
either email them too you (they're big though), or bring a CD to a
group run. |
