I live with my wife and two daughters in the Seattle area. We've been here for over sixteen years now - hard to believe I've lived here longer than anyplace else. We're almost used to the moss growing between our toes. I'm a distance runner, avid reader, and I lead a development team for the Evil Empire. It's interesting work, and it funds my other interests. I'm not currently looking, but here's my resume. One of my proudest accomplishments is completing a good number of endurance events (marathons, half-marathons, distance relays, and triathlons to Olympic distance). I completed my first two with the Leukemia Society's Team in Training Program. It is a great program, and a wonderful opportunity to do something extraordinary, in terms of the physical challenge, and also in terms of making a real difference. You can read about my running efforts here, including training calendars, and running journals. My long-term goal is to complete marathons in all fifty states, and all of the world's continents. Some running friends and I made the front page of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in November of 2006! In July of 2008, I was involved in a serious bicycle accident. You can read about the accident and my subsequent recovery if you're interested. Through this experience I've learned a lot about challenge, kindness, and what love can do. Prior to moving to the northwest, I lived and worked in the Silicon Valley. I am a proud alumnus of the Computer Science undergraduate program at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, a great school and also a nice place to be stuck for a few years. I earned a Masters in Software Engineering from Seattle University in September of 2000. If you're interested in hearing my sometimes random thoughts and rants, check out my blog. |
