While on a recent business trip to Australia, my friend Ben and I decided to run the Sydney Half Marathon as a means to recover from the 14 hour plane ride. We had a great time, finishing in 1:52:23 and negative-splitting for the second half. Here are the low-resolution versions of our pictures :
The event was very well-organized, and the course mercifully flat - except for the ascent to cross the Harbour Bridge. The official results appeared in the Sunday Telegraph the following Sunday, and we got a surprise. The special race section of the paper had a front page photo that included Ben and I crossing the bridge. If we'd not both worn distinct running shirts (orange and red), we never would have noticed.
